On Day 1, you’ll arrive in Washington DC, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. You will then visit the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, followed by free time to explore the city before returning to the hotel for the night. On Day 2, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a half-day sightseeing tour, which includes iconic landmarks such as Capitol Hill, the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the Pentagon. Afterward, you will check out from the hotel and travel to Philadelphia. DAY 1 - Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Cherrapunji | Sightseeing Tour
Upon your arrival in Guwahati, you will be transferred to Cherrapunji. On the way, make a stop at Umiam Lake, renowned for its tranquil beauty and clear waters. Next, visit the Elephant Falls, a captivating two-tiered waterfall. Explore the Arwah Caves, where you can observe fossils etched into the walls. Continue your journey to the Seven Sisters Falls, famous for its seven distinct streams, followed by NohKaLikai Falls, the highest plunge waterfall in India, cascading from a height of 1,115 feet. After the sightseeing tour, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 2 - Trek to Nongriat Double Decker Living Root Bridge
Today, embark on an exciting trek through the breathtaking landscapes of Meghalaya. The journey begins at Tyrna village, a picturesque hillside settlement with deep-rooted Khasi traditions. Descend 3,000 stone steps that meander through lush forests and clear, sparkling streams. Upon reaching Nongriat, marvel at the awe-inspiring Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a remarkable creation of Khasi craftsmanship, formed from the intertwined roots of rubber trees over generations. After the trek, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 3 - Transfer to Shillong | En Route Visit Dawki | Trip to Krang Shuri Falls & Laitlum Canyon
After checking out, begin your drive to Shillong with several stops along the way. First, visit the Umngot River in Dawki, known for being one of Asia’s cleanest rivers, where boats seem to float in mid-air. You can also enjoy water activities (at an additional cost) at Shnongpdeng before heading to the Krang Shuri Falls, famous for its turquoise waters and unique rock formations. DAY 4 - Visit to Kamakhya Devi Temple | Departure Day
After checking out, you will be transferred to the Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. This ancient temple, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya, represents feminine power and fertility. Located atop Nilachal Hill, it dates back to the 8th century and is a major pilgrimage destination, especially during the Ambubachi Mela, which attracts nearly a million devotees annually. Following the temple visit, you will be driven to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey, marking the conclusion of your trip.
